LAFROFEE (VD/CH)

LAFROFEE is a Swiss visual, sound artist and performer of Congolese descent based in Lausanne. Her sonic practice is situated at the intersection of Afro-diasporic aesthetics, experimental electronic music, and the sonic cultures of the Global South. She also composes for other artists.

Through field recordings, sampling, and composition, she creates sonic environments where hybrid and organic textures, fragmented voices, and low frequencies converge. She works with sound as a space of memory, resistance, and transformation. Between sonic fiction and club culture, she shapes immersive collective listening experiences, carried by a floating, hypnotic, and levitative atmosphere, flirting with states of trance.
