Simon S (ZH/CH)

Simon S is an electronic music producer who currently lives in Zurich. He started djing in 2004 in his hometown Lucerne. One year later he co-founded the party label Luzern Nord which led to many parties in the area including local and international dj’s.

With his music Simon S tries to touch the modern human being and bring out the archaic desire to dance. He is inspired by the sounds of everyday life as well as native rhythms, vocals and traditional music. By chopping, distorting and pitching he transforms these recorded samples. The main parts of the rhythms are made by layered tribal percussion elements.

Simon S evolves driving beats close to progressive and dubbed out chords. He tries to keep the sound tight and combine it with spacey bright synth shreds, in a way they resonate in our heads.
